The regulation was long awaited, the question of transition periods and the validity only for the production or also for the placing on the market was hotly debated.<\/p>\n<p>In our opinion, the placing on the market of foods that provide for a daily intake of 3 or more mg of monacolins from red mold rice will be prohibited as of June 21, 2022.
